Voices Of Glory

Award-winning vocal group Voices Of Glory added another distinction to their growing list of accolades with the recent third place finish at the Allstate Gospel SuperFest in Indianapolis, IN. The NBC-TV’s America’s Got Talent finalists bested most competitors in the regional contest after performing “On Your Knees,” as written by their uncle and aunt Donald and Tamara Cole.

Since the SuperFest, said group manager Gerard Cole, siblings Michael, Avery and Nadia Cole continue to stay busy touring and performing.

“Voices Of Glory delivered a strong performance at the Allstate event,” Cole said. “I appreciated the opportunity presented by SuperFest Executive Director Dr. Bobby Cartwright for VOG to participate. I think it motivated VOG to keep pushing and working hard in establishment of their music and ministry,” he said.

“We wanted to share with viewers how much we’ve grown as artists,” said Michael Cole II. “The people of Indianapolis made us feel so welcome; at the same time, the competition inspired us to keep working hard at what we love to do.”

The vocal group – which is also nominated as semi-finalist for The Best Is Yet To Come Ministries’ 2011 Trio Of The Year Award, and the Inspirational Country Music Award Show’s Youth In Music Award – is hopeful additional benefits will result from the competition.

“It’s like we planted seeds at Allstate, and now we want to do all we can for them to grow even bigger,” said Avery Cole.

“We are working hard so we can continue to establish our music and our music ministry,” said Nadia Cole. “God has given us an amazing opportunity to make a difference,” she said.

Ironically, doing what VOG loves began with heartache.

In 2005, their mother Felicia Cole, was left in a coma for 8 months after being hit head-on by a drunk driver. At the urging of their father Michael Cole, the children sang at her bedside in the hopes that she would recognize their voices and awaken.

With their mother’s continued recovery, the talented trio continues to inspire an increasing audience of millions.

Voices Of Glory

No stranger to winning fans and accolades, NBC-TV’s America’s Got Talent finalists Voices Of Glory has won the SGN Scoops 2011 Diamond Award for favorite new artist: the Sunrise Award, announced Southern Gospel News.

“We are so thankful for this award,” said Michael Cole, II of VOG. “It amazes me that we were nominated for three awards, and that we won the Sunrise Award is such a compliment from our fans,” Cole said about VOG’s additional nominations for Favorite Trio and Favorite Song for “Father Who Cares,” in the fan-based competition.

“We give all honor to God,” said VOG’s Nadia Cole. “He has blessed our family in so many ways. We are grateful for His favor, and to our fans for their continued support of our music,” she said.

“Ministry comes first in our mission to heal others with VOG’s music,” said Avery Cole of Voices Of Glory, “Initially when we started singing, it was to heal our mother and now we’re able to help others,” Avery Cole said referring to the July 2005 accident of the group’s mother Felicia Cole who, before reawakening, was in an 8-month coma after collision with a drunk driver. VOG’s father Michael Cole suggested the children sing at their mother’s bedside that she may hear and be healed.

Their eponymous CD showcases the talents of Cole family siblings – Michael, 19 Avery 15, and Nadia, 11 – as they impact the music industry and fellowship with purpose.

“Southern Gospel fans are particular about their music. Competition was fierce,” said group manager Gerard Cole. “Fans spoke loud and clear when they picked VOG as their favorite rising artist, and considered VOG among other amazing artists like Jason Crabb, Gaither Vocal Band, the Booth Brothers, and Driven Quartet.

“These young people are serious about their ministry. They sing from their heart to heal and inspire others,” Cole said.  “We are deeply thankful to SGN and VOG supporters for this honor and any opportunity it may bring for Voices Of Glory Global Ministries to do even more good work through music.”

VOG has also launched Voices Of Glory Global Ministries to raise awareness of children’s and global issues and create opportunities for better nutrition, shelter, safety, education, spiritual edification, and a greener environment.  The group next plans to conduct a ministry trip to Tanzania.  For more information or to donate, visit: http://voicesofgloryglobalministries.org/ or http://voicesofglory2020.tatemusicgroup.net/.

The counting is done and … we won!  Voices Of Glory has won the 2011 SGN Scoops Diamond Award for Favorite Rising Artist!  We are so amazed by how God works and how much our fans support our music!

Thank you VOG fans for voting!

Thank you SGN Scoops for a great event at the Branson Gospel Music Revival!

Thank you Mom and Dad for your love and vision!

Thank you Gerard Cole for your amazing support and management!

Thank you to everyone who has and continues to support our music and ministry!

Much love,

Michael II, Avery and Nadia

A Great Dad is a Gift

A great dad …

Teaches with love about the big things in life.

Talks so we understand.

Is an example of what to do and who to be.

Keeps us safe.

Guides us to make good decisions.

Reminds us to carry the Word within our hearts.

Loves us unconditionally.

Never lets us down.

We love you, Dad!

Happy Father’s Day to you and all the other great Dads (uncles, brothers, and sons) out there for all you do and who you are!
